  • Gare du Nord means Northern Station and is a major national and international train station in Paris.
    From this station High Speed Trains arrive and departs to London, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
    It also has connections to the Paris metro network, bus services and car hire facilities.
    The taxi rank is on the ground floor of the station: take the side entrance (not the main entrance).

  • Follow the 'M' sign down the escalator for the metro.
    Tickets are sold at the ticket windows or vending machine(in french, creditcard required or with coins)
    A single ticket is €1.40. A carnet is 10 tickets; price is €10.70.
    With line 4 you can go to Les Halles (large shopping center) and Ile de la Cite (Notre Dame, Conciergerie).
    Line 5 comes along Boulevard Haussmann with its large department stores.
