Jardin de Trocadero
From the Eiffel Tower you can make a pleasant walk to the other side of the Seine. The bridge over the Seine river is named Pont d’Iena and is a few hundred metres long. The garden with the large metal fountains below Palais de Chaillot is called Jardin de Trocadero (picture above).

Palais de Chaillot was built in 1937 as one of the highlights of the French colonial exhibition in 1937. Inside Palais de Chaillot are several museums. The main reason why many visitors come to the palace is that from here are superb views on the Eiffel Tower. Just behind the Palais de Chaillot is the metro station Trocadero. From here it’s three stops to the Arc de Triomphe & Champs Elysees.
